A new development in protective headwear is the Peakview Translucent Hard Hat from Portwest, now available from the East Midlands’ leading supplier of personal protective equipment, Pennline.

This translucent hard hat has a see-through peak that offers enhanced peripheral vision for site workers in all situations, but is especially useful when scaling ladders or scaffolding structures.  The design is intended to discourage workers from reversing the hard hat and wearing it back-to-front, which of course reduces the level of protection from frontal impacts and falling objects.

Available in eight colours, the Peakview translucent hard hat is manufactured from UV400 stabilised high impact polycarbonate, with a six point internal nylon harness for maximum comfort.  There are two versions of the Peakview available – vented (ref.PV50) and unvented (ref. PV54), and both models are fully approved and certified to the relevant standards (AS/NZS 1801 and EN 397).

Hard hats offer an excellent opportunity for personalisation and branding – they can be printed with company name or logo, or even the corporate safety slogan.  Pennline offer in-house design and printing capability and can advise on the most suitable solution for your organisation.

So, hats off to Portwest for bringing to the PPE a product which is clearly head and shoulders ahead of the competition!
